This weeks emotion is Hostility. What mannerisms or behaviors do you associate with Hostility?
Here are some prompting questions:
- How do you know someone is Hostile?
- What do they do that indicates they are Hostile?
- What do they say and how do they say it?
- Do they have involuntary responses?
- Is there a physical response to Hostility that only the person experiencing it is aware of?
All insight is appreciated!
When I'm feeling hostile to someone, I won't meet their eyes. I make a point of looking away, fiddling with something in my hands, anything to let them know I'm mad without saying so. Often I shake my head, again not looking at the person. So to answer your question, I need to look at this in the reverse. If someone won't meet my eyes, even though I'm talking to them, and if that someone starts fiddling with something in their hands and shakes his or her head, maybe even releases a sigh, then I can be pretty certain there is hostility being directed my way.
